Lamar Odom has reportedly checked himself into a rehab.
People magazine reported on Wednesday, Sept. 4, that the NBA free agent and "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star is seeking treatment at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
Odom was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles on Friday, Aug. 30.
At 3:25 a.m., officers spotted Lamar driving a white Mercedes SUV on a Los Angeles highway east, about eight miles away from his and wife Khloe Kardashian Odom's home, in a "serpentine manner" at 50 miles per hour. They say they attempted to pull him over and that he continued past three exits before getting off the main road and stopping.
Lamar, 33, showed "obvious signs of intoxication" and was "unable to perform a field sobriety test," an official said in a statement obtained by OTRC.com. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked at a local jail at 5:01 a.m. where he refused to undergo a chemical test -- an offense punishable by a driver's license suspension of up to a year.
He was later released from jail after posting a $15,000 bond. Lamar is due in court on Sept. 27.
The arrest came days after ESPN reported that Odom was dealing with a drug problem. The site quoted a source as saying he was in a hotel and that friends are trying to help him overcome an "unspecified drug problem." His agent told the sports outlet that Khloe "knows exactly where he is."
