Sir Patrick Stewart, 73, has wed 35-year-old longtime girlfriend Sunny Ozell and shared a unique post-wedding photo that showcased the "Star Trek" and "X-Men" star's fun sense of humor.

The two are submerged in a colorful ball pit, showing just their faces as they sport giant grins.

"Yes, married," Stewart tweeted on Sunday.

UPDATE: The actor's rep confirmed the marriage to OTRC.com.

"Sir Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell were married on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 7, beside Lake Tahoe in front of approximately 100 guests, including family and friends," the spokesperson said. "Sir Ian McKellen officiated the ceremony. The bride wore a white French lace dress by English designer, Temperley London."

McKellen, Stewart's "X-Men' co-star, had announced in March on the UK-based "Jonathan Ross Show" that he was going to marry the actor and Ozwell, a New York jaz singer and songwriter.

"I did my part," McKellen said on his Facebook page, alongside a photo of himself holding up a black T-shirt with the word "Minister" printed on it as well as a Doctor of Divinity certificate that shows he is a legally ordained minister.

This marks Stewart's third marriage. He and first wife Sheila Falconer were together for 24 years share a son and daughter. He and second wife Wendy Neuss, a "Star Trek: The Next Generation" producer, divorced in 2003 after a three-year marriage. Stewart and Ozell met and began dating in 2008. On their first date, she watched him perform in a Broadway production of Shakespeare's "Macbeth."
