Beatles to release more BBC sessions including unreleased songs

LONDON

The CD and vinyl release, which is planned for November, will be a follow-up to the band's successful "Live at the BBC" album released back in 1994.

The new compilation comes from BBC radio broadcasts in 1963 and 1964 when the band was making frequent appearances in BBC studios.

Most of the recordings have a live feel and capture the band in a relaxed and informal setting. The new release includes early Lennon-McCartney compositions, as well as covers of Chuck Berry songs and other works by rock pioneers.

The compilation will also include different versions of some of the songs from the first "Live at the BBC" album.

A re-mastered version of the earlier album will also be released in November. It topped record charts on its release, selling more than 5 million copies worldwide in its first six weeks.
