Britney Spears spoke candidly to "Good Morning America" about her first kiss with Justin Timberlake and how her breakup with ex-fiance Jason Trawick inspired her new album.

Spears, who announced on "GMA" her new two-year residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino today, revealed during the interview that her first kiss was with her former boyfriend and Mickey Mouse Club co-star, Justin Timberlake.

"[I was] maybe 13. It was Justin [Timberlake]," Spears said on "GMA."

Spears dated Timberlake for three years during their meteoric rise to fame before breaking up in 2002. The two have since become two of the biggest pop stars in the world.

The singer also opened up to "GMA" about her breakup with ex-fiance and talent agent Jason Trawick. The two called off their engagement in January 2013, the same day Spears announced she would not be returning to the FOX singing competition "The X Factor" after her season two stint. Spears revealed that her breakup with Trawick inspired material on her upcoming eighth studio album.

"During this album, I had a breakup with Jason that I went through that I wrote a lot about. They suck. Breakups suck, man," Spears said.

Spears and Trawick became engaged in December 2011 after two years of dating. Trawick later became Spears' co-conservator, alongside her father Jamie Spears, and was later removed following the end of their engagement. Spears has been under a conservatorship following her 2008 personal meltdown, with her father in charge of the star's personal affairs.

The "Work B----" singer also talked about fellow former Disney star Miley Cyrus and her recent controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance. Spears, who herself has performed at the VMAs in a nude bodysuit, with a yellow python and in a performance with Madonna featuring an infamous kiss, says Cyrus is just being herself.

"I think anytime you do a performance that is that memorable, you're going to have criticism," Spears said. "I think she's doing her thing. She's being herself and I give props to her."

Spears' props to Cyrus will go a lot further, as the two have teamed up for the song "SMS (Bangerz)," on Cyrus' upcoming album. Spears tweeted about the collaboration on Sept. 10, saying, "Now It's Britney AND Miley b----! #TheyreNotReady for this @MileyCyrus?;) #SMSbangerz."
