Zac Efron underwent rehab earlier this year, reports say.
It was not specified how long his treatment lasted or what he was treated for. E! Online quoted a source as saying Efron is "healthy, happy and not drinking."
The news comes more than two weeks before the release of his latest project, the movie "Parkland."
The film is set to hit theaters on Oct. 4 and tells of the aftermath of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. Efron plays Jim Carrico, the first doctor to treat the U.S. leader after he was shot in Dallas.
The movie also stars Tom Welling of "Smallville" fame, Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, Marcia Gay Harden and Rory Cochrane, known for his roles in "Empire Records" and "Dazed and Confused."
