Sandra Bullock graces the cover of Vogue magazine's October 2013 issue, showcasing a sexy and classy look -- and short hair.
The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actress, often dubbed "America's Sweetheart," is wearing a teal brushed metal-colored, long-sleeve, backless sequin Marc Jacobs Fall / Winter 2013 dress and has her dark brunette hair styled in an updo, complete with side-swept bangs and a short tendril below her ear.
Bullock sported her usual long hair in a recent interview with OTRC.com (coming soon!) and at a press conference to promote her newest film, "Gravity," in Toronto on Sept. 9 (pictured).
The Vogue photo was shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh. This marks the fifth time the actress has appeared on the cover of the prestigious fashion magazine.
Bullock talked to Vogue about moving on after divorcing motorcycle customizer Jesse James. The two were married for almost five years and split in 2010 after it was revealed he had cheated on the actress.
"We're all where we're supposed to be," she told the magazine. "I am exactly where I want to be now. You can't go backward. I'm not going backward. I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have. Nobody can be prepared for anything. If you end up in a place where you can look back and go, 'It happened, but I'm so lucky to be sitting where I am sitting."
Bullock also spoke about her 3-year-old son, Louis. She adopted the boy not long before the split.
"I think this business can take the child out of kids so quickly," she told Vogue. "I don't want him to have pressures brought on by what I do. I will quit. I will leave. If I see whatever I'm doing affecting him negatively, I will pack up and move to Alaska."
In "Gravity," Bullock plays a medical engineer who, along with an astronaut, played by George Clooney, becomes stranded in outer space after a space shuttle accident. The movie hits theaters on Oct. 4.
