Gwyneth Paltrow strips down to sexy black lingerie in a scene from her upcoming film "Thanks for Sharing," but the actress told OTRC.com correspondent Chi-Lan Lieu at the film's premiere on Monday that she isn't exactly comfortable having to see photos from the scene as part of the film's promotional material.
"I was horrified and I'm still horrified," Paltrow said about shooting the scene and seeing stills from it. "I was doing a talk show today and they kept showing a picture of me in the lingerie. I wanted to die. But you know, it was right for the scene ... I'm glad I did it but it took a lot of bravery on my part."
"Thanks for Sharing" tells the story of three people, including Mark Ruffalo's character, named Adam. The three are in the process of undergoing a 12-step treatment for sex addiction. Paltrow plays Adam's love interest, Phoebe, who doesn't quite believe that being a sex addict is a real problem.
The film marks the feature film debut of singer Pink -- who is credited in the trailer as Alecia Moore (her real name). "1600 Penn" and Broadway "Book of Mormon" star Josh Gad, Joely Richardson and "Almost Famous" star Patrick Fugit also appear in the movie.
"It's about recovering sex addicts and their struggles and the community that they make for each other and it's serious, you know, and it's also very, very funny and handles it in a very funny way," Paltrow said of the film. "I really love the film, I think they did such a good job in showing the complications and complexities. It was a lot of fun to do."
"Thanks for Sharing" hits theaters on September 20. Check out the trailer below.
