"Washington and her character on 'Scandal,' Olivia Pope, have little in common except for this: impeccable style that results in haute hit after hit and nary a miss," People said.
Earlier this year, Washington also topped Vanity Fair magazine's 2013 International Best Dressed List.
On Tuesday, Washington attended an Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and SAG-AFTRA celebration of the 2013 Emmy Award nominees, dressed in a bright pink, sleeveless Halston Heritage Pre-Spring 2014 ruffled, knee-length mini dress (pictured above).
The actress is nominated for her first Emmy, for her role on "Scandal." At the event on Tuesday, she posed for pictures with co-stars Joe Morton (right), who plays Rowan Pope, and Dan Bucatinsky (left), who guest starred this past second season as James Novak. He won an Emmy for his performance and received his award in a preliminary ceremony, the Creative Arts Emmys, this past Sunday.
The 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on CBS this Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the annual ceremony for the second time. Check out a full list of 2013 Emmy Award nominations here.
