After more than a decade since they first collaborated on the hits "03 Bonnie & Clyde" and "Crazy in Love," Beyonce and Jay-Z have proven to be one powerful celebrity couple.
It was announced on Sept. 19 that pop singer Beyonce, 32, and rap superstar Jay-Z, 43, topped Forbes list of highest-earning celebrity couples of 2013. The duo beat out fellow powerhouse couples Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis and pals Kanye West and Kim Kardashian for the title.
The report notes that Beyonce in fact out-earned her rapper husband by an $11 million gap, thanks largely in part to her "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," which she embarked on following her Super Bowl XLVII performance. The couple in total earned $95 million between June 2012 and June 2013.
1. Beyonce & Jay-Z -- $95 million
According to Forbes' estimates, the couple earned a whopping $95 million collectively from June 2012 to June 2013, with Beyonce out-earning Jay-Z by $11 million. The songstress can thank her wildly successful "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" for the leg-up, which she has been on the road since April of this year. Jay-Z released his stake in the Brooklyn Nets during the time period, however the rapper still holds onto his share of the team's stadium, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
2. Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen -- $80 million
Brady earned a $30 million signing bonus when he signed an extension with the New England Patriots, Forbes notes. Bundchen, for her part, remains one of the most sought-after models globally, earning $42 million on her own in the time frame.
3. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie -- $50 million
Since meeting on the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" set almost a decade ago, the actors have remained two of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Forbes reports Pitt's latest Summer blockbuster "World War Z" earned $537 million globally and Jolie earned a high upfront quote for the 2014 film "Maleficent."
4. Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis -- $35 million
The former "That's 70's Show" co-stars began dating following news of Kutcher's divorce from actress Demi Moore, and the two continue to command big bucks in their respective television and film projects. Forbes notes Kutcher stands as the highest-paid actor on television thanks to his role on the CBS series "Two & a Half Men," while Kunis' film star continues to rise thanks to hits such as "Oz The Great and Powerful."
