Sorry, Joseph Gordon-Levitt admirers -- the former teen heartthrob and "Dark Knight Rises" star has revealed that he has a girlfriend. However, he won't identify her and won't say publicly if he is in love.
The 32-year-old actor, who has been seen with female guests at red carpet premieres before, made his comments in a recent interview on the "Howard Stern Show" on Sirius XM satellite radio, days before the release of his new movie "Don Jon."
He directed and wrote the film and stars as a New Jersey guy who's a porn fanatic, which interferes with his attempt at finding a meaningful relationship. Scarlett Johansson stars as his love interest. "Don Jon" hits theaters on Sept. 27. (Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pictured in a scene from the movie, above)
Check out a partial transcript of Gordon-Levitt's comments on the "Howard Stern Show" below.
Howard Stern: "How does a girl get to date you, seriously? What do we have to do to hook up with you? Are you in a relationship now or are you single?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in the public."
Howard Stern: "In the business or out? I see you as one of those guys who has to have a girlfriend out of the business."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "She is not in show business."
Howard Stern: "See. Where'd you meet you? You meet her at a restaurant or something?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "We had mutual friends."
Howard Stern: "Got introduced?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "She, I mean, she's a .. yeah .. I mean, we have lots of mutual friends."
Howard Stern: "You in love with her?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "Aw, geez, man, come on. This is getting private."
Howard Stern: "How long you been with this broad?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "I mean, now, this is interesting, 'cause I don't, I don't wanna, like, why, why should we talk about the person details?"
Howard Stern: "You wanna know why? I'll tell you why. I'm going to give you a good reason why. Somebody once asked me this: I'm in love with my wife. I love this woman. There's no greater joy in my life than, even like, if we get invited out to an event, holding her hand, even if I have to walk on a red carpet, putting my arm around her, I get tremendous comfort from being with her."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "Yeah."
Howard Stern: "So why, why all the secrecy? Like, I've talked to people."
Robin Quivers (Howard Stern's sidekick): "Well, maybe everybody isn't finding that, Howard."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "Let me give you a reason. Maybe you'll take this, or not. But what you and I do is a little different. You get on the air in your performances as Howard stern yourself."
Howard Stern: "OK."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "I get up in movies and I play other people. So when the audience is watching the movies, I don't want them thinking about me and who I'm dating and blah blah blah. I want them to see the character, the story that I'm telling."

Howard Stern: "How long you been with her? Six months? A year?"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: "What do you want me to- I don't, I don't like disclosing details like this. What if she doesn't want those details ..."
Howard Stern: "She wants that, she wants you to come out publicly and scream out that you're in love with her."
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: I'm telling you now that that's not true, actually."
