Saks Fifth Avenue's flagship store in New York City will feature a window installation curated by "Scandal" star Kerry Washington and the show's Emmy-winning costume designer, Lyn Paolo. The window display will be recreated for Saks Fifth Avenue locations in Beverly Hills, California and Chevy Chase, Maryland.
"I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the Saks team in bringing the 'Scandal' characters to life in their windows," Paolo said in a statement. "Fashion is such an integral part of the show and for Kerry and I to have had the opportunity to play a part in the creation of the iconic Saks windows is a dream come true, and a truly wonderful creative experience on every level. SAKS and 'SCANDAL'...BRILLIANT!"
The partnership also includes social media efforts and visual statements in Saks Fifth Avenue stores throughout the country. Several fashions and accessories from Saks Fifth Avenue will also be incorporated into the show's episodes throughout the season. Pope's wardrobe includes designer brands like Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Carolina Herrera.
Earlier this month, Washington was named the "World's Best Dressed Woman" by People magazine.
"Washington and her character on 'Scandal,' Olivia Pope, have little in common except for this: impeccable style that results in haute hit after hit and nary a miss," People said.
The 36-year-old actress also topped Vanity Fair's 2013 International Best Dressed List.
The "Scandal" season 3 premiere airs on Oct. 3 at 10p.m. on ABC.
