Amy Poehler and Adam Scott are used to "making googly eyes" at each other while playing one of TV's top couples on the NBC comedy series "Parks and Recreation."
However, the two "A.C.O.D." stars recently admitted they had fun getting to play characters who hate each other for a change.
In the movie, Scott plays Carter, a man who unknowingly participated in a study on adult children of divorce and is sought out for a follow-up study years later. Carter's younger brother is getting married and so Carter must deal with getting both of his divorced parents to go to the wedding.
Poehler plays Scott's stepmother and Jessica Alba appears in the film as another participant of the study.
"It was super fun because we got to just pretend we hate each other all day," Scott told OTRC.com correspondent Tony Cabrera at the film's premiere earlier this week. "'Cause on the show we're like making googly eyes at each other all day and on this we couldn't stand each other so it was super fun."
"We kind of were so used to being in love on the show that it was fun to get to hate each other and it was surprisingly easy. We slipped into it really fast," Poehler joked. "It's very easy to hate Adam."
"A.C.O.D." his theaters on Oct. 4. Check out the trailer below.
