Paula Patton plays a woman looking for love in her latest film "Baggage Claim," something the actress has already found in real life with husband Robin Thicke.
The film follows Patton's character, Montana, who works for an airline and embarks on a quest to find a male suitor in 30 days. The comedy co-stars Taye Diggs, Trey Songz, Adam Brody, Christina Milian and La La Anthony and is in theaters now.
Patton sat down with OTRC.com to discuss her character's romantic journey in the film, what it was like to work with the cast and how she once spied on husband Thicke when they first began dating.
Q: When you were first seeing Robin, was there an element of Montana in you that was trying to figure out how to get him to propose, and how did he propose?
A: "I was a bit of a crazy, in love girlfriend and I remember, way before we were married, having this suspicion about him. So I drove all the way to his house and like crawl through the bushes, to look through the window ? I swear! And the worst part was that I got caught. The best part was that I was wrong. He caught me outside, he goes, 'I can see you,' like it was hilarious, it was like, 'You're not a good spy, OK?' And he had guy friends over. He was like, 'Come on over, see what's going on.' But the best part was, he said, 'You really do love me.' And I said, 'I do. Maybe [I'm] a little crazy.' He's like, 'That's OK, I'm a little crazy too.'"
Earlier this week, Patton, Thicke and the rest of the "Baggage Claim" cast attended the film's premiere in Los Angeles, California. (See PHOTOS).
