"Dancing With The Stars" alum-turned-guest judge Julianne Hough's comments about Mark Ballas' and contestant Christina Milian's performance on Monday did not sit well with the choreographer and the singer, who told OTRC.com that her words "felt personal."
Hough had said she Ballas' choreography of their Foxtrot made it so that it appeared as though the two were "dancing side by side," rather than together. Hough cited her own experience as Ballas' dance partner -- the two have danced on the show and as members of a teenage musical trio, saying: "You have to stand in front to make sure you're seen."
"She gave me a hard time. It is what it is," Ballas told OTRC.com after the show.. "I was really supportive of her coming on the show and being a judge."
"I can't wait for Len!" Milian joked, referring to regular judge Len Goodman, who Hough replaced this week while he appears on British counterpart show "Strictly Come Dancing" in his native England. "I like a critique and I don't feel like I was critiqued in any way ? so I didn't get to get much of it, you know, so it kind of felt personal."
The two had earned 24 out of 30 points for their Foxtrot, placing fifth on the leader board. Hough gave them an 8.
