Is Kanye West's "rap feud" with Jimmy Kimmel over?

That may be the case. West is set to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, Oct. 9, ABC announced on Tuesday. Kimmel also tweeted about the rapper's upcoming appearance on his official Twitter account.

"TOMORROW NIGHT, MY GUEST WILL BE @kanyewest (for real, yes and was it all a setup, no)," Kimmel wrote on Oct. 8.

The rapper ranted about the late night talk show host on Twitter in September after Kimmel aired a spoof of West's BBC interview with a child playing West. The rapper's expletive-filled rant included references to Ben Affleck and Kimmel's ex-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman. He later deleted the tweets associated with the rant.

"JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," West tweeted as the first part of his rant.

West later added, "SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!"

When George Pennacchio of KABC Television, OTRC.com's parent company, caught up with Kimmel last month, he assured Pennacchio that West's rant was not a stunt. In early September, Kimmel pulled off the "Twerk Fail" hoax, which caused some to be skeptical of West's rant.

"This is not a stunt," Kimmel said at an event for The 12th Annual Galbani Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles on Sept. 26. "What happened today is not a prank unless it is a prank being pulled on me because, as far as I know, he's very angry and, I mean, I don't think he's violent. I hope he's not violent. I don't think he is. He seems like a pretty non-violent guy."

"In fact, he said, 'Peace,' as he hung up on me," Kimmel added. The host later referred to the incident as a "rap feud."

Kimmel talked about the rant during his opening monologue on his show on Sept. 26 and talked about the phone call he received from West prior to the rapper's tweets.

"He called me. He said a lot of things. He told me I had two choices. No. 1, apologize publicly ... and that was really the only choice," he joked. "The other choice he gave was that my life... 'Your life,' he said, 'is gonna be much better if you apologize.'"

West will appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
