Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the Golden Globes in 2014 and 2015.
The two actresses, former "Saturday Night Live" cast members who appeared together in the 2008 comedy "Baby Mama" and the 2004 Lindsay Lohan movie "Mean Girls," hosted the annual award ceremony for the first time earlier this year and were highly praised for their on-stage jokes and good chemistry.
"I can't stress enough how little we will prepare until very close to the show," Poehler said in a statement provided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which votes on and produces the awards. "We'll treat it like 'Weekend Update' -- its a little 'SNL' style and have to work backwards. We get a lot of jokes, write our own, talk bits and we work through them. You can't really do this kind of stuff too early and you can't over think it."
The actress added that the highlight of hosting the Golden Globes this past January was "sitting on George Clooney's lap," adding: "But it all felt like a highlight."
The 2014 Golden Globe Awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the ceremony is set to air live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
"It's wonderful news," HFPA president Theo Kingma said in a statement. "They have always been our first choice as hosts and we're delighted they are back for the next two years."
