Twentynine Palms shooting: Man dead, gunman sought

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Friday in the 5800 block of Bagley Avenue.

Deputies responded to an apartment complex at that location and found the victim, Lashon Lightfoot of Twentynine Palms, on the floor inside an apartment unit. Authorities say he had been shot numerous times.

Lightfoot was airlifted to an area trauma center where he died at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday.

The gunman, who is still on the loose, is described as a black male, approximately 20-25 years old.
