Kids Consignment Sale offers huge discounts

BURBANK, Calif.

A presale for consignors and volunteers was held Wednesday.

Thousands of new and gently-used kids items can be found at a fraction of the retail cost at the 37,000-square-foot warehouse in Burbank.

With more than 100,000 name items all under one roof, there's no shortage of things to shop for including sweaters, jackets, pants, turtlenecks, furniture and toys.

The products at the sale come from hundreds of families who sign up to consign and earn money for the items that sell. This year's four-day event has over 700 consignors.

"It just seems to be getting more and more popular," said Kristin Nelson, the event's creator. "We have 7,000 items more than we did last time. The prices are so amazing. Instead of spending $100 on three items, you can spend $100 on 25, 30, 45 items."

If you have kids on your Christmas list, there are tons of toys including "Star Wars" figurines that start at $2. A double stroller was also listed for $20. Halloween costumes were also available.

Donations from the sale go directly to Los Angeles charities including MEND, Los Angeles Pregnancy Services and more.

The one-stop shop is located at 157 West Providencia Avenue in Burbank.

Public sales run from Thursday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers say the warehouse will be reloaded with 10,000 items Friday. On Sunday, shoppers get an additional 50 percent off.
