Authorities say officers found a body inside an apartment unit on the 1400 block of Delaware Street shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday. The man's body was discovered shortly after someone called police reporting a man walking down Delaware Street, who appeared to have been stabbed.
Rito Samuel Tejeda, a 22-year-old Santa Ana resident, was taken to a hospital. Officers questioned him, and he was later arrested. A motive has not been released.
Investigators say they followed a trail of evidence, including blood, back to the apartment. That's when the body was discovered. The victim's name has not been released.
