Morena Baccarin, who plays Jessica Brody on the Showtime show "Homeland," and husband Austin Chick have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
The couple's son, Julius, was born on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, near Los Angeles, People magazine on Wednesday. Baccarin's spokesperson confirmed the report to OTRC.com
The outlet added that the 34-year-old Brazilian-born actress had a natural delivery despite the fact that her baby was in a breech position, meaning his head was upright. Many expectant mothers who carry their children this way in the final weeks of their pregnancies end up having C-sections.
Baccarin, who also played Anna on the ABC show "V," was earlier this year nominated for an Emmy for her role in "Homeland" and appeared heavily pregnant at the September award ceremony (see photos above).
