The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. outside the El Super Market located on the 1500 block of West Baseline Street.
Police say the 25-year-old victim was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when a slender man walked up to him. Investigators say the suspect pulled a gun from his pocket, shot the man in the head and then ran away.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. He was last listed in serious condition.
