Rock 'N' Roll half-marathon brings out costumed runners

LOS ANGELES

The 13.1-mile race began at L.A. Live at 7:30 a.m. The course took runners to the Coliseum, Exposition Park, Little Tokyo and ended at the finish line back at L.A. Live.

Zombies, ghosts and goblins and other costumed athletes were part of the race, and some even took their dogs.

This year's event benefits the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

ABC7's own John Hartung took part in Sunday's event.
