Twenty-three of the deals are fully signed, and three are agreements in principle, according to the university. The school faces six other claims, saying some don't have merit but others may produce settlements.
The university said the day Sandusky, a former assistant football coach, was convicted last year of 45 criminal counts involving 10 boys, it was determined to compensate victims. Negotiations lasted about a year.
Sandusky, who is serving a 30- to 60-year state prison sentence, maintains his innocence. After a Superior Court panel denied his request for a new trial earlier this month, a defense lawyer said he planned to ask the state Supreme Court to review the case.
