It's over for the Jonas Brothers -- for now.
The pop group, made up of brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, has split after more than seven years. The news comes almost three weeks after the trio canceled an upcoming tour. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, People magazine quoted Joe, 24, as saying that the decision to break up was unanimous."
"It's over for now," said Kevin, who turns 26 on Nov. 5.

On Oct. 9, the Jonas Brothers' spokesperson announced the trio had canceled a North American tour that was to begin two days later and cited a "deep rift within the band." On Oct. 22, Joe tweeted: "please hold while we get our [expletive] together." Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers' official Twitter account has been deactivated.
People magazine reported on Tuesday that during a band meeting on Oct. 3, Nick, 21, said he had serious concerns about the band's future.
"It's really hard to say 'forever,'" the singer told People, regarding the breakup. "We're closing a chapter, for sure."
