Road rage triggers double shooting in Venice

VENICE, Calif.

The shooting occurred in the 800 block of Indiana Avenue around 8:15 p.m.

Police say several suspects cut off a man on a motorcycle. The suspects and the motorcyclist, identified as a man in his 50s, exchanged words. Authorities said the suspect then followed the man home.

The two parties continued to argue upon arrival. That's also when, police say, the suspects claimed gang affiliation before leaving.

About an hour later, five suspects returned to the man's home and shot him and his son.

The victims remain hospitalized at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in stable condition. Both suffered non-life threatening wounds.

Police say the suspects yelled out their gang name before fleeing on foot. They were described as five black males.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information was asked to contact LAPD at (877) LAPD-247.
