Katy Perry has responded to a recent posting of an old video that shows her sitting on "Twilight" actor and heartthrob Robert Pattinson's lap and singing karaoke while drunk, saying that it shows the two are "just friends."
The 29-year-old "Roar" singer made her comments during an interview with the Australian radio program "The Kyle O and Jackie Show" on Tuesday. A clip of Perry and Parrinson singing Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love To You" at a Los Angeles karaoke bar, with the pop star eventually moving from a stool to his lap, was posted on YouTube on Oct. 25 (watch it below). The video has since been viewed more than 627,400 times.
"Well, there's the media for you, nothing is sacred, not even karaoke," Perry said on the radio show (watch a video - warning: Explicit language). "I mean, we were just hanging out and we have a lot of friends that we hang out- one of my best friends is a mutual friend of ours and we got wasted and did karaoke like people do, about eight years ago and it [expletive] finally showed up on the Internet."
"It least it shows you that we're actually just friends, like true friends," she said. "It's like, if you're a girl, you can't be friends with that guy? That poor guy ... I feel for him."
