Kaley Cuoco took part in an ambush mock wedding ceremony with fiance Ryan Sweeting in an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which is set to air on Nov. 7. A clip of the ceremony can be viewed below.
"The Big Bang Theory" star, 27, surprised fans when she announced her engagement to Sweeting, a 26-year-old professional tennis player, in September 2013 after three months of dating. Cuoco was previously engaged to Josh Resnik before the two split up in March 2012.
The ceremony was complete with a veil, rings and an ordained minister. Cuoco addressed the couple's quick courtship during an interview with DeGeneres and the actress said she's aware their whirlwind romance appeared out of the ordinary.
"It's newer, it's newer. I know it's looked a little crazy to some people," Cuoco said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Cuoco further explained how the couple first met over the summer. She told DeGeneres she was initially against the idea of dating all together before meeting her now-fiance.
"I had kind of an interesting situation over the summer and I was kind of in a weird place and a very close mutual friend of ours said, 'Oh my God, have you met this guy Ryan?,'" Cuoco said.
"I was just not in a good place to meet anyone," Cuoco continued. "I said I'm not ready, I'm taking time away from love for a while, I was very sad. And they said, you know, he's coming to town and you've got one date, meet him, have a drink, meet him, meet him. I was putting it off and really nervous about it and just not wanting to do this."
"So they gave him my number and he texted me and he's like, 'I'm coming to L.A.,'" Cuoco added. "So now I'm like, 'So now I have to see this guy, do I have to hang out with him all weekend, he's going to be here for days, and effort and this whole thing.' So, we go and have a dinner date and we're still on our first date, he never went home."
DeGeneres then surprised Cuoco with a mock wedding ceremony. The actress wore a tennis ball-adorned veil and necklace. The ceremony also had a floral arch and the show's head writer acted as an ordained minister. Cuoco and Sweeting completed the mock ceremony with a kiss before Sweeting asked, "This isn't legal, right?"
