Sweeping is sometimes not performed on days noted on no-parking signs posted around the city.
The Bureau of Street Services website will list the routes not being cleaned on scheduled days. The Department of Transportation will not issue citations on those routes those days, according to the mayor's office.
"I want to bring City Hall back to basics by focusing on customer service and delivering core services more efficiently and effectively," said Mayor Garcetti. "This is about common sense. People shouldn't block the streets from getting swept, and people shouldn't get tickets for no good reason."
