Adam Levine is having a good laugh about being named "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2013 by People magazine.
The 34-year-old Maroon 5 lead singer and "The Voice" coach talked about getting the title in a new interview that can be seen above.

"What when through my head when I got the phone call. Uh, confusion," he told People magazine in a videotaped interview obtained by OTRC.com on Wednesday, Nov. 20. "No actually it was more like, 'Finally!' Just kidding. I dunno, I was just amazed and stunned and I didn't really think. It almost kind of seemed like they were kidding. But they weren't, so that's cool."
The singer also said he's going to get a lot of flak for the title from his bandmates and fellow "Voice" coach Blake Shelton.
"Who's gonna give me the hardest time for this ... accolade? The band. The band's gonna roast me pretty hard for this one," he said. "Blake Shelton's gonna ... I'll be murderized by Blake Shelton for sure."
The singer follows in the footsteps of Channing Tatum, last year's honoree, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and George Clooney. In 1984, Mel Gibson became the first actor to be given the title by the magazine.
Levine will accept his new "Sexiest Man Alive" title officially in person on the ABC late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The show airs at 11:35 p.m. ET.
