Temecula child-annoying suspect sketch released

TEMECULA, Calif.

A 15-year-old girl was approached by a white van at about 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, near Agena Street and Southern Cross Road in Temecula. The white van pulled up to the girl and a passenger asked her a question.

The girl ignored the man and kept walking, and the van drove away. Minutes later the van returned and pulled up next to the girl again. The same passenger made a comment to the girl. She felt uncomfortable and ran home. The van did not follow her.

The van was described as a white, late model with a rounded body, circular tail lights and no window tint, according to the sheriff's department.

The passenger was described as a Hispanic man between 20 to 30 years old with a thin build, short brown hair and a mustache and goatee. A composite sketch was released.

There was no description of the van's driver.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the involved vehicle or parties is encouraged to contact Investigator James Dickey at the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000.
