ABC7 meteorologist Dallas Raines said there is a 10 percent chance of scattered showers during the overnight hours.
Earlier in the day, the rain came down hard, and that made it rough to drive on the 5 Freeway. Walking around was no better unless you had an umbrella.
The thunderstorm roared through Downey, bringing with it intense rain that quickly overwhelmed storm drains. It caused minor flooding in several intersections.
People Eyewitness News spoke with said there has not been much rain at all this year, so this storm was welcome.
High pressure will start building over Northern California on Saturday, which means we'll be seeing a lot more sunshine across Southern California, said Raines.
