Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lawrence are featured on ABC News' veteran newswoman Barbara Walters of "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2013 list.
The 84-year-old's TV special, "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year," is set to air on Dec. 18 on ABC at 9:30 p.m. ET and will feature interviews with the subjects of her 2013 picks. There, she will reveal who came in at No. 1. This marks her 21st and final "Most Fascinating People" special, as she is retiring next spring.
Walter's "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2013 list includes the following celebrities, in no particular order:
The former child star of Disney's "Hannah Montana" series has been making headlines since she gave a racy performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in August. She also stirred controversy over her "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" music videos, which feature sexual and nude content (the latter earned a hilarious parody by Betty White). Cyrus was featured on Walter's 2008 "Most Fascinating People" list.
Kim Kardashian -- and fiance Kanye West
The E! reality star, 33, and her family were featured on Walter's annual list in 2011. This time, she shares a spot with her 36-year-old fiance and rapper Kanye West, who was on Walter's 2005 list. Earlier this year, in a British radio interview, he dubbed himself as "the biggest" rock star and compared himself to Michael Jackson. Kardashian and West share a daughter, North, and star in the rapper's music video "Bound 2," which was parodied by Seth Rogen and James Franco.
The 23-year-old Kentucky-born star won an Oscar earlier this year for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook" (watch her acceptance speech) but is more known for playing heroine Katniss Everdeen in the "Hunger Games" films, making her one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. The second movie, "Catching Fire," is currently dominating the box office following its release last month.
Lawrence is also a celebrity face of Christian Dior - she wore several outfits by the luxury designer at "Catching Fire" events - check out 7 of them. Also, check out PHOTOS of Lawrence showcasing 19 of her most glamorous looks.
The 53-year-old co-anchor of ABC morning program "Good Morning America" last year battled myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a rare blood and bone disorder, and underwent a bone marrow transplant with marrow donated by her sister as well as chemotherapy. She was absent from "GMA" for 174 days and when she returned in February, she received well wishes from President Barack Obama, as well as from the Muppets. Roberts is also a breast cancer survivor.
"Duck Dynasty" stars
The breakout stars of cable network A&E's reality show, which focuses on the camo-loving, mostly bearded members of the Louisiana-based Robertson family that is known for inventing a popular duck call device, made the list this year. They reportedly make more than $200,000 an episode, according to Deadline. A&E reaps the benefits as well -- the show receives record ratings. Its season 4 finale on Oct. 23 was watched by 8.4 million people and earned a 3.5 rating among adults ages 18 to 49, making it the No. 1 watched cable program that day.
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden
The former National Security Agency contractor is currently believed to be living in Russia under temporary asylum. Earlier this year, he was charged under the Espionage Act and accused of downloading scores of classified NSA and British government documents.
Prince George - son of Prince William and Kate
He's only four months old and one day, he's set to become king of England. Prince William, grandson of reigning ceremonial monarch Queen Elizabeth II, and wife Kate, formerly known as Kate Middleton, welcomed son George, their first child, on July 22.
