Billy Joel is "Movin' Out" ... to New York City's Madison Square Garden!
The legendary singer announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3 that he will begin an extended concert residency, titled "Billy Joel At The Garden," at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The legendary singer will be playing a show each month at the iconic venue for a yet to-be-determined period of time.
"Performing at Madison Square Garden is a thrilling experience," Joel said in a statement on his website. "I've played different venues all over the world, but there's no place like coming home to The Garden."
"Since my first show in 1978, I've always looked forward to the energy of the crowd," Joel continued. "I'm honored to be joining the Madison Square Garden family and look forward to taking the stage of the newly transformed Garden to create many more memorable nights."
Joel's first four announced dates for the residency concert -- Jan. 27, Feb. 3, March 21 and April 18 -- are already sold out, with a fifth date set for May 9, the singer's 65th birthday. Click here to purchase tickets.
Over the span of his more than 40 year career, Joel has performed 46 shows at Madison Square Garden. In 2006, Joel broke the record for the longest run of a single artist at the venue, performing 12 shows in a row.
