Over 12,000 baby rattles from Manhattan Group are being recalled in the U.S. and Canada due to a choking hazard.

The recalled Quixel baby rattles are made of plastic arches with attached sliding beads. These arches can break into small parts and pose a choking hazard.

The company has received four reports of the rattles breaking, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers who bought these rattles are urged to return them for full refunds.

The recalled products were sold in specialty toy and baby stores nationwide, in Canada and also online from September 2011 through October 2013 for about $15.

About 8,300 products were recalled in the U.S. and 4,100 in Canada.

Consumers with questions can contact the Manhattan Group at (800) 541-1345 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit www.manhattantoy.com and click on "Recalls" at the bottom of the homepage.
