Cool Kid raises money for children's hospital

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Jocelyn Garcia wants to help children who are going through a very unsettling time in their young life.

"A lot of kids are in the hospital and feel kind of sad. So I'm trying to help them and I donate money," said Jocelyn.

Jocelyn's way to raise that money is making "miracle bracelets." She first makes the bracelets, and then sells them to those who want to help. The next part of the project is equally rewarding.

"After when I collect like $60 or more, I go to CHOC, Children's Hospital, and then I donate there," said Jocelyn.

It's a comfort to know that those donations really help, going toward kids who have to deal with a very scary situation.

"Because sometimes when you donate money, they buy toys," said Jocelyn.

Jocelyn's caring heart is also very evident in her choices for a future career: Pediatrician, cardiac ICU nurse or a doctor.

Jocelyn Garcia is a Cool Kid who helps make sure young kids in the hospital get a little help dealing with some tough times.
