Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to the 37800 block of 20th Street East shortly before 8:30 a.m. to check on the welfare of a resident. When they arrived, they noticed a broken window.
Deputies knocked on the door several times, but no one answered. They forced their way into the home and found the victim, who had suffered blunt force trauma to his upper torso, officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Detectives have not been able to locate any witnesses.
