Lamar Odom will be put on probation for three years and attend a three-month alcohol education program as part of a plea deal over his drunk driving case, OTRC.com has learned.
The 34-year-old NBA player and husband of reality star Khloe Kardashian Odom had in October pleaded not guilty following an August arrest for suspected DUI and speeding. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office said on Monday, Dec. 9, that Lamar received his probation and was ordered to attend the alcohol education program after pleading no contest.
Police had arrested him for allegedly speeding on a highway in a "serpentine manner, ignoring initial calls to pull over and showing "obvious signs of intoxication." He was unable to perform sobriety test and later refused to undergo a blood alcohol exam while being booked. His driver's license was suspended for a year automatically as a result. A hearing about the issue will take place at a later date.
