Deputies with the Jurupa Valley station were called to the school on Nov. 18 and 21 in response to the acts of vandalism. Deputies described the acts as concerning and threatening to student safety.
Investigators assigned to the Corona-Norco Unified School District worked closely with school officials to identify a possible suspect.
Upon further investigation, authorities arrested an El Cerrito Middle School student after determining he was responsible for the acts of vandalism.
The student, whose identity was not released because he is a minor, was booked into the Juvenile Hall Detention Center on several counts of criminal threats. Authorities say the student acted alone.
