Police say the crash happened at Orangethorpe Avenue and Rose Drive around 2 a.m. According to police, the preliminary investigation shows the driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer ran a red light and hit a GMC box truck.
The box truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Anthony Watson, 23, of Placentia and 18-year-old Star Hawkins.
