Gerardo Gamboa found a brown paper bag filled with six stacks of cash on Monday. He quickly returned to Yellow Checker Star Transportation headquarters and handed the bag over to his stunned supervisor and waited for the owner to come and claim it.
Gamboa says he never thought twice about turning in the money. Gamboa received a $1,000 reward from his bosses and was also just named employee of the year.
The money was returned to an unidentified poker player. It took several hours to verify the identity of the owner and return the cash. The poker player took Gamboa's information, but didn't immediately leave a reward.
