Is Justin Bieber quitting music or is he joshing again?
The 19-year-old said in a Christmas Eve tweet, hours before the opening of his new documentary movie "Believe," that he is retiring. He posted his message almost a week after he said the same thing in a radio interview, which had prompted his manager, Scooter Braun, to later explain that the pop star was "just kidding."
"My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring," Bieber said on his Twitter page, which has more than 48 million followers. "The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle. Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER (sic)."
Bieber's manager has not commented about the singer's Dec. 24 retirement tweet. E! News quoted an unnamed source as saying, "Of course it's not true." Also, the New York Daily News quoted unnamed sources as saying that Bieber's planned exit is "untrue" and "a joke from his end."
