What happens when Snoop Dogg goes to the White House? Some fist-bumping, of course. And later, a prestigious retweet.
The 41-year-old rapper hung out with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Dec. 8 at the president's residence, where a reception was held for the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors ceremony, where Snoop was to give a performance honoring recipient and jazz musician Herbie Hancock.
On Thursday, Snoop posted an Instagram video (watch below) that shows him talking to Kerry about the Hancock, who the rapper said "invented hip-hop." The two then fist-pounded each other, prompting Kerry to say, "You gave me good pound!"
"Boss life. me n john kerry at d white house !!! #reincarnated #khc," Snoop said on Twitter.
The official Twitter page for the U.S. State Department then retweeted his post, adding: "Between us we've sold 30 million-JK."
"n now we got a grammy nominated album ! #reincarnated #kch #nogunsallowed," Snoop replied on Friday, Dec. 26, adding: "#IfSnoopWasSecretaryOfState."
In addition to Hancock, Billy Joel, Carlos Santana and Shirley MacLaine were also honored at the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors ceremony, which will air on CBS on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 9 p.m. ET. (Check out PHOTOS from the event).
