Oxnard man stabbed to death; suspect at large

OXNARD, Calif.

Oxnard police received a call about a stabbing shortly after 1 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Oxnard Boulevard. Responding officers found a man with stab wounds, but they could not revive him.

The victim's identity was withheld pending family notification. He was only described as a 24-year-old Oxnard resident.

Investigators identified the suspect as 43-year-old Oscar Valles of Oxnard. Officials say Valles and the victim knew each other, and a personal dispute may have led to the stabbing.
