Police say the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday at Pacific Coast Highway and Brookhurst Street. Authorities say the first driver hit the pedestrian and stopped. But a second vehicle hit the man. That driver left the scene and has not been identified.
The name of the 28-year-old pedestrian will not be released until the family is notified.
