Bon Jovi earned $259.5 million in tour revenue in 2013 and comes in at No. 1 on Pollstar's list of top-grossing world tours that year, beating the likes of Beyonce, Justin Bieber and One Direction.
The rock band, led by Jon Bon Jovi, began its Because We Can global tour to promote a new album by the same name in February. Longtime guitarist Richie Sambora dropped out in March, citing "personal issues." Pollstar reported that Bon Jovi's 2013 tour gross of $259.5 million was also the highest ever earned by the band, which rose to fame in the 1980s with rock anthems such as "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love A Bad Name" and years later, "It's My Life."
Others who made the cut on Pollstar's list include Bruce Springsteen - a friend and childhood idol of singer Bon Jovi, as well as pop stars Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Pink. Check out the top 10 list below.
