Miley Cyrus is firing back at claims she made snide remarks about fellow pop singer Beyonce in Love magazine, saying the quotes were "made up."
Several outlets such as Us Weekly quoted Cyrus as saying in an interview with the British outlet: "Beyonce has been a big inspiration for me, but she's been out for such a long time. [She's been] out of the game for too long. I'm the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right."
After catching wind of the statements, Cyrus took to her official Twitter page to clarify to her more than 16 million followers that the quotes circulating about Beyonce were fake. (Warning: tweets contain explicit language).
"That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol!," Cyrus tweeted. "Imagine if I said I got "the looks and the curves I'm just better!" Bahahahhaha."
"How are people allowed to make up [expletive] & the [put] quotes around it saying I said that [expletive]! [EXPLETIVE]!!?!," Cyrus continued. "Thank god I just woke up from this nightmare."
"Don't worry," Cyrus concluded, "Getting 2 the bottom of this [expletive]. Making the liar retract the statement. U can cause A LOT of drama but NOT between me & B!"
The news of the fake quotes comes after Cyrus celebrated a banner year at the New Year's Eve holiday on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, where she and the TV host shared a kiss (check out the PHOTO).
