Could Jennifer Hudson be any cooler?
The 32-year-old Oscar and Grammy-winning star bought her assistant and childhood friend Walter a HOUSE for Christmas. She posted a video of his reaction to the news -- which mostly consisted of screaming happily -- on her Instagram page earlier this week (watch it below).
"My assistant Walter's reaction when he found out I was buying him a house for Christmas!" she wrote.
Hudson had herself reacted similarly while playing Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the 2008 movie "Sex and the City," after she receives a Louis Vuitton bag as a gift.
In 2011, Hudson told the magazine The Advocate that she and Walter have been friends since the sixth grade, adding: "He's by far my closest friend and my closest gay friend ever."
The Chicago native, who used to make a living as a Disney Cruise Lines singer, rose to fame after becoming a finalist on "American Idol" in 2004. She went on to win an Oscar for her role in the 2006 movie "Dreamgirls" and also earned two Grammys for Best R&B Album and Outstanding New Artist.
Hudson spent Christmas with her family -- fiance and wrestler David Otunga and their 4-year-old son, David Daniel Otunga, Jr. She shared a photo of the three on her Instagram page on Christmas Day - check it out below.
