Jessica Simpson was beaming of confidence in an interview with "Good Morning America," where the singer and fashion designer showed off her slimmed-down body.

After giving birth to her son Ace in June 2013 and daughter Maxwell in May 2012, Simpson continued her partnership with the Weight Watchers diet program, for which she is a paid spokesperson.

In her Jan. 7 "GMA" interview with co-anchor Lara Spencer, Simpson's body appeared significantly slimmer, attributing her success to Weight Watcher's "Simple Start" program.

Simpson tweeted a photo (above, left) of her slimmer figure to her more than 6 million Twitter followers prior to her appearance on "GMA," saying, "Good Morning America! Going live soon! #weightwatchers."

Watch Simpson's full interview with "GMA" and check out five highlights from the interview below.

1. On gaining weight during her pregnancies...

"I just let myself have whatever I wanted. I didn't care. It wasn't about weight gain to me, it was about...when I was pregnant with Ace, my second, I had already been on Weight Watchers and I had already lost over 50 pounds, so I wasn't as relaxed in my eating and everything as I was with Maxwell. I was already in a healthier regiment, so I kept walking and staying active."

2. Simpson says Weight Watchers is more than a diet -- it's a lifestyle.

"I believe in it with all of my heart. It's a lifestyle and I've tried so many different diets and you know, you can only stick to something for so long and I feel like with Weight Watchers, it just becomes a part of who you are. This time around after having Ace I did something called "Simple Start," which they're promoting now, and it jump started everything for me. I lost almost ten pounds in just two weeks on this beginning."

3. On feeling in control and confident as a mom...

"As a mom I just have this confidence and I just feel so proud of what I've done and what I've accomplished and I really do also feel this need to be the best role model for my children and I don't want Maxwell to, you know, I want her to look up to me and be like me. I don't want to give her any false perception of what is real and what's important and it is important to love yourself and know yourself.

"Through Weight Watchers I really did get an opportunity to do that because I was setting small goals for myself and I was achieving them. It wasn't just like one big goal. I gave myself these small goals and it just kept me going and I was just so impressed with myself, I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, like, I can do this.'"

4. Simpson says she and fiance Eric Johnson want to get married this year.

"I hope so. We don't have an actual date, but we do know that we want it to be this year. We need to get married. I already feel like we're an old married couple because he's already...if he wanted to run, he could have run when I was hormonal and pregnant."

5. Bonus quote: Simpson graces the February cover of Redbook magazine, which was shown in her "GMA" interview. In the magazine, she talks about the infamous "mom jeans" and reveals she was actually slimmer then compared to now.

"What's so unbelievable is that I was probably at least 15 pounds smaller than I am right now. What's more unbelievable is that the press could create something so crazy out of a pair of jeans. What woman wants to be brought down for that?"
