Robin Wright of "House of Cards" and "The Princess Bride" fame is engaged to "X-Men" actor Ben Foster.
This will mark the third marriage for the 47-year-old actress and first for Foster, 33. Their engagement was confirmed by Wright's spokesperson, People magazine reported on Saturday. The news comes just ahead of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. Wright is nominated for her leading role in the Netflix drama series "House of Cards," which marks her second Golden Globe nod.
Foster, who played Angel in the 2006 movie "X-Men: The Last Stand" and has also appeared in movies such as "3:10 to Yuma," co-starred with Wright in the 2011 movie "Rampart" and sparked romance rumors after they were photographed dining together a year later. Over the past four months, the two have attended several celebrity events together.
On Friday, Wright and Foster attended a Diane von Furstenberg exhibition with the actress' 22-year-old daughter Dylan (pictured above), whose father is her ex-husband Sean Penn, in Los Angeles. Wright sported a diamond ring on her ring finger.
The actress, known for her role as Buttercup in the 1987 fantasy film "The Princess Bride" and current leading female star of the Netflix drama series "House of Cards," was married to Penn between 1996 and 2010. They are also parents to a son, Hopper, 20. Wright was also married to Dane Witherspoon, her co-star on the soap opera "Santa Barbara," between 1986 and 1988.
