OTRC: Golden Globes: 'American Hustle' wins Best Motion Picture - Comedy

"American Hustle" has won the 2014 Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical.

The winners were announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Jan. 12. "American Hustle" beat nominated films "Her," "Inside Llewyn Davis," "Nebraska" and "The Wolf of Wall Street"

In "American Hustle," directed by David O. Russell, Christian Bale plays con artist named Irving Rosenfeld, who is juggling two women in his life -- wife Rosalyn, played by Jennifer Lawrence, and partner Sydney Prosser, portrayed by Amy Adams. The movie also stars Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner.

The film and Best Motion Picture - Drama nominee "12 Years A Slave" each earned the largest number of Golden Globe Award nominations -- seven. "American Hustle" stars Bale, Lawrence, Adams and Cooper all received individual nods. Adams and Lawrence took home a Golden Globe for their roles

Bale previously won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for his role in the 2010 movie "The Fighter." Lawrence won a Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2013 for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook," which starred Cooper and earned him nominations for both types of awards. Lawrence was also nominated for a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her part in the 2010 film "Winter's Bone."
